In this private session you will receive a mix of sleep inducing, gentle, lulling movements, mindfulness strategies, hands-on bodywork and a personalized support plan for bringing these practices home with you. With the hands-on bodywork - as the nervous system responds to gentle, safe, supportive touch the brain receives the message that it is safe to release tension and relax. This helps the body shift from alert mode (fight, flight, freeze) into a place of calm, rest & restore. The Sounder Sleep System daytime mini moves help you reduce stress and anxiety, helping you find a sense of calm and peacefulness throughout your day. Night time mini moves are subtle, lulling movements that encourage rest and help the brain welcome sleep. When your brain has a chance to shift from a state of alert, stress response to calmer states during the day, it is practice for your brain and body to more easily shift from being awake to resting and sleeping. Harvard Medical School’s Division of Sleep Medicine shows:“When the alerting areas of the brain are most active, they inhibit activity in other areas of the brain responsible for promoting sleep. You will receive personalized support as well as a night time mini move recording to take home with you. While one session is very helpful, committing to three sessions within a 2 month period is most conducive for laying the foundational groundwork toward change.
