Sleep evades many people for so many different reasons. In this private session you will receive a mix of deep rest, gentle movement & mindfulness strategies as well as mindset shift ideas to help you create a sleep habit routine unique to you. In this session you will also receive some hands-on bodywork - as the nervous system responds to gentle and supportive touch. When the brain receives the message that it is safe to release tension and relax, this helps the body shift from alert mode (fight, flight, freeze) into calm, rest, restore. Learning how to down regulate your nervous system is a bridge needed to go from being awake to asleep. These strategies can be explored throughout the day - so your body and brain have time to practice releasing tension and stress on a regular basis - which in turn makes doing this before sleep a more understood and easeful process. These strategies will also help if you wake and typically can't fall back asleep.
