Motherhood can be profound, wild and exhausting. 

It can be the most wide-open love you may ever feel and also the thing that knocks you down and leaves you not knowing how to get back up.

It asks everything of your body, your nervous system, your patience, your sense of self. And most of the time, we don't talk about those parts. We share the gratitude, and sweet moments — and quietly carry the rest, unless we are fortunate to have the support that really can welcome and hold all the layers.
